The Porch

The Porch is a modern, high-tech and multi-use area for students, nonprofits and library programming to provide a quiet and effective learning environment. The space can be used as one large room or divided into three separate rooms using the built-in, sliding dividers. The East and West Porch will hold up to 6 people while the North Porch will hold 20. The entire space with dividers open can accommodate large groups up to 40 people. Located in the center of The Porch is a large SMART board which allows wireless sharing of multiple screens from laptops and mobile devices and includes whiteboard drawing capabilities. The other rooms of The Porch have smaller SMART boards and traditional white boards. To encourage learning, creativity and productivity there are laptops, iPad tablets, and Wacom drawing tablets available for in-house checkout, as well as a printer and laminator. The Porch has Keurig K-Cups available for purchase (coffee, tea, and more varieties). Additionally, drink and snack machines are located outside the room.
