Volunteers should speak with staff about working with the library.
Beginning in October, 2013, all volunteers will be required to complete a one-hour shelving refresher course. Courses will be offered bimonthly and will be listed on the library webpage calendar.
Beginners should notify staff so they can receive more one-on-one assistance prior to actually shelving materials.
Volunteers should always sign into the Volunteer Logbook prior to beginning their work and upon completing their work. These records allow us to provide information needed for the completion of volunteer forms for educational and/or social organizations.
Volunteers completing hours by court order should have a library staff member initial their time in and out every day that they work. Letters provided for these volunteers must be verifiable.
